1. We don't store individual answers — only anonymous aggregate counts

All of your answers and the scoring happen inside your browser. When you finish the test, your result type and each answer (1–5) are sent once to our server to be added to anonymous aggregate counters — only the totals grow (how many times each type came up, how many times each answer value was chosen on each question, and how many people finished in each language). A single person's full answer set is never saved as one record, so responses cannot be traced back to an individual. No identifying information (name, email, IP) and no axis scores (?s=) are stored on the server. Your in-progress answers and your finished result's type code and axis scores are still kept only in this browser (localStorage) so you can resume and view your result again, and you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser data. The optional 'did this match you' feedback on the result page works the same way — it only increments per-type, per-answer aggregate counters, with no individual record. To show that type distribution, the result page makes one request to the same server — it carries none of your answers, your type, or any identifying information, and what comes back is only the percentages and the as-of date you see on screen. That response is kept in this browser (localStorage) for a day so the page does not ask again on every visit.

2. About shared result links

The address (URL) of a result page contains your type code and axis scores. Whether to share that address is entirely your choice; unless you share it, it is not passed to anyone. If you want to show only your type without the scores, remove everything from ?s= onward before sharing.

3. Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

To improve the service, we may collect usage statistics such as visit counts, page navigation, and completion rates through Google Analytics. Your answers, axis scores, and result type are never transmitted to Google Analytics (the anonymous aggregate counting described in section 1 is a separate channel). For attribution we also keep two short-lived values in this browser's session storage: the page you arrived from, and any campaign tag in the link you followed. Both are discarded when you close the tab, and neither identifies you. They are also passed to Google Analytics so a visit can be attributed to the channel it came from — your answers, axis scores, and result type never are.

In your language region we run these statistics without cookies (Google Consent Mode), so no analytics cookies are stored on your device. In this region we also do not store the attribution values described above.

4. What this test is

MPTI is a nonpartisan self-discovery test with no ties to any party or politician, and it is not an election opinion poll in any jurisdiction. Of those anonymous aggregate counts, only the type distribution — what share of everyone who finished the test got each of the 16 types — is shown on the result page; it is refreshed regularly and always labelled with the date it was taken. Every other count (per-question answers, the optional match feedback) stays internal, and no figure about support for any party or candidate is ever collected or published. Because respondents are never identified and we never ask which party or candidate you support, this is not an opinion poll.
